Maggie Elizabeth Harrington: Alpha Wolves

Image
Maggie Elizabeth Harrington:  Alpha Wolves By D.J. Swykert Alpha Wolves is one of those books that once read, you can never forget because it remains carved into your heart. It praises love and hope, but sadness and despair take form as well within the pages of Maggie Elizabeth Harrington 2. After reading Maggie Elizabeth Harrington: Living In Two Worlds, the book of Maggie ’s childhood, I had great expectations from the second book, focused this time on   the young Maggie who acts upon her love for Tommie Stetter, only to learn that true love means more than an intense and long-lasting feeling. The book of D.J. Swykert reveals the discovery of true love while exploring the consuming love of adolescence and the new life of a married young woman simultaneously. Caught in between her heart and her consciousness, Maggie reaches maturity when life-changing events occur in the isolated, yet idyllic community of Central Mine. A book that aroused my interest...

42 DEGREES OF TRUTH: Unicorn

Image
42 DEGREES OF TRUTH: Unicorn  by Victoria Ray After reading Dulcinea and the Death Code , and So Absurd It Must Be True I have thought that I know Victoria Ray ’s style. And yes, I am familiar with her style, but she continues to surprise me by adding, changing and creating countless angles for the solely purpose of showing us the extreme superficiality of the modern life. Page after page, 42 DEGREES OF TRUTH: Unicorn , is very similar to a caricatured version of the real world, where a lot of things lose their value or are treated with ignorance. Life seems to be a savage sea of emotions where people act like heartless puppets, beautifully wrapped in commercial appearances.   Every time I enter Ray’s Universe I am surprised that someone, a few countries away, sees the world the same way as I do, but she skillfully emphasizes the most personal aspects of human existence, transposing them into an intriguing, bitter-sour literature that catches you from the f...

Kill Crime – A Jeff Case Novel

Image
Kill Crime – A Jeff Case Novel by Mike Slavin             One of the best books that I have recently read, Kill Crime is the perfect choice whether you want a well written or an interesting literary work. As odd as it may seem, there are times when how a book is written is more important than what it is about.             However, this is not the case of Mike Slavin who offers the reader a life-changing plot, beautifully wrapped in meaningful words. His work even seems to be interlaced with some metafictional elements.             The protagonist in Kill Crime is both a hero and a simple, imperfect man exposed to overwhelming pain and doubt. The literary craftsmanship of the author reveals the proper amount of thoughts and feelings, leaving the avid reader to complete the image of each character, a fact that...

The Hunter: A Nightingale Novel

Image
The Hunter: A Nightingale Novel by T.M. Dawson The Hunter: A Nightingale Novel , is based on an interesting idea and could be a promising book. It is original and reveals a world of countless possibilities where normal and paranormal creatures interact naturally. While enjoying the subject of the story, it felt like the plot and the characters needed a further development. There were many moments when, as a reader, I had the feeling that I was watching a succession of incomplete scenes. I am aware that writing a book is demanding and requires a lot of time and hard work. I respect that.   However, I truly believe that T.M. Dawson’s book could have been a success if it had been given some more length, time and work. Andreea Padurean The Hunter: A Nightingale Novel on Amazon

Under A Fallen Sun

Image
Under A Fallen Sun by John Coon            There is a reader for every book, but it seems that I am not the reader for Under A Fallen Sun . The reason why I say this is that from the very beginning, the idea of an energy barrier was much too similar with the one met in Under the Dome (TV series), for my taste. On the other hand, despite the fast pace that was meant to keep the reader engaged, there was not so much awaiting me beyond the well-constructed suspense. The long-promised escaping plans and revenge actions turned into the fast, unexpected and superficial deaths of so many characters.             There were also moments when the characters seemed to be similar to lifeless puppets that mechanically moved on a stage. Unfortunately, while reading John Coon ’s book I felt more like being part of a disengaged audience instead of resonating with the characters or with their feelings. ...

Maggie Elizabeth Harrington

Image
Maggie Elizabeth Harrington By DJ Swykert Maggie Elizabeth Harrington is a book that depicts the transition from childhood to adolescence in an original manner. The narrative style is specific to a teenage girl, Maggie Elisabeth, who is the protagonist. The reader has access to a real world seen through her eyes and to a dream world, often mentioned by the main character.     Thoughts and facts, as well as feelings, are specific to the way of thinking met among teenagers. Love and divinity are two important themes in this novel, and the perception is divided between the general view (a social perspective) and the particular view (a personal perspective). The leitmotiv of the novel seems to be the relationship between man and animal, namely humans and wolves. The ritual of drowning cats gives a round aspect to DJ Swykert ’s book, being present (in fact) at the beginning of the story and (in theory) at the end of it. This relationship might be seen as a met...

So Absurd It Must Be True

Image
So Absurd It Must Be True by Victoria Ray I have been tempted to compare Victoria Ray to Chaucer because of the witty form that she gave to those briliant ideas, but then Samuel Beckett would have been shadowed when the absurd in this book is so similar to his. So Absurd It Must Be True is not an ordinary reading, but the most interesting book that I have ever read regarding the style, the vision and the writing. You are not able to get bored within its pages and your mind keeps wondering how can someone envelope a habitual fact in such an appealing shell. Another unique characteristic of this book is that it keeps changing from a chapter to another, so that you can’t predict what is ’the next stop’ in this travel throught the absurdity of human life and society.              Victoria Ray’s book is also a funny and easy read because it offers a ’lesson’ after each chapter, so that even the least engaged r...

A LIGHT FROM THE ASHES

Image
A LIGHT FROM THE ASHES  by  Rachel Anne Cox To read the novel of Rachel Anne Cox felt like being home , surrounded by friends and beautiful, familiar places.   Not every book has the power to be so welcoming, especially when within its covers there is a world of chaos and limitations. The author skilfully created veridical characters that you may expect to see on the street someday, but she embellished them with comprehensive hearts that are able too carry all the love that people have lost in empty words these days. Living, fearing, loving and suffering together with the protagonists, the reader is given the chance to extend the dypstopian view upon a possible future life due to the ideological mechanism that constitutes the base of A LIGHT FROM THE ASHES. Even if it is hard to accept that such a picture may be real one day, the author offers a possible solution through the belief that Heaven can survive in the middle of the Hell. It is a hellish world, where...

Floating Through With You

Image
Floating Through With You  by Nicholas Bizov A book that praises the beauty of the beloved, Floating Through With You , induces a state of beatitude and peace. Using colourful words, the author portrays the happiness of finding the soulmate who is able not only to complete your existence, but also to give another meaning to your life.              As Nicholas Bizov suggests, the greatest contentment of a person is to have someone to share everything with, from good to bad, happiness and sadness. The fulfilment means to have the person you love by your side and receive the love you give.             I kindly recommend this beautiful reading! Dulcinea and the Death Code

Image
Dulcinea and the Death Code  by Victoria Ray Dulcinea and the Death Code is more than a book of fiction. It is ’the cool glass of lemode in a summer day’ that reinvigorates your mind and imagination, regardless the number of books that you have read or the favourite genre. The main character and the references to the X-men series place Victoria Ray’s book on a large variety of shelves, begining with those of the teenagers. It is also suitable for a more mature reader due to the ideological background that is woven through the allegorical story of Dulcinea. The power of word is revealed by the author’s choice regarding the name of the protagonist, a fact that contributes to the creation of a fresh character that carries all the spiritual beauty and grace of the classical female figure combined with the power, energy and determination of the contemporary woman. The writing style and the multiple perspectives, powdered with the light poetry make Dulcinea and the Death C...

Promise me

Image
Promise me  by Nicholas Bizov In the hustle and bustle of everyday life, Nicholas Bizov proposes a special break. A break from deadlines, worries and overwork. ‘ Stop and live’ seems to be the hidden motive of the book Promise Me , live the love that many of us bury in the depth of our souls and cover with the daily routine. Bizov’s book is like a breath of fresh air that revitalizes the soul by emphasizing the most important aspects of our existence, namely the love and the beloved ones. He shares the joy and beauty of youth and love, redescovering ways to fulfill this treasure in the form of promises. A light but significant reading, Promise Me makes even the cloudiest days more beautiful and warmer. Andreea Pădurean Promise me by Nicholas Bizov on Goodreads

RED AI

RED AI by Nina Xiang More than a book about ‘China’s Rise In Artificial Intelligence’ An extensive book in the field, RED AI offers a global picture of a rapidly changing society that needs both safety and great technological achievements in the shortest amount of time. The author emphasizes the differences in theory and practice regarding this industry and its applications, exemplifying their presence on the Chinese market. In their struggle to create the perfect society, equally prosperous, economically stable and industrially independent, the Chinese leaders might ask too much and too soon, from an area where a large amount of testing is essential for a successful product. Focusing on the development of Artificial Intelligence in China, compared to the United States, Nina Xiang also draws the attention to the human dependence on high technology and the threatening that an accentuated global instability may pose to the comfort of everyday life. Present in our lives more ...

Un bărbat, o fată, o insulă pustie

Image

OKINAWA DIET: The Longevity Secret

Image
OKINAWA DIET: The Longevity Secret by   Marco Carestia There is said that ”we are what we eat”. Unfortunately, the hustle and bustle of nowdays lifestyle makes it almost impossible for many of us to really think about what and how we consume. However, food is not the only element that influences human well-being. The various social and environmental changes have a great impact on our health as well. In this context, Marco Carestia proposes a return to origins in order to improve the quality of life. The beauty of his work resides in the example he choses, namely the Okinawan people and their origins. Some might wonder ”why Okinawa”? Well, Okinawa is the place where two great cultures meet and combine, creating an unique way of life and a healthy cuisine. Traditional Chinese medicine and phylosophy mingles with Japonese culture and ingredients, resulting in a diet considered to be the secret of longevity. The reader is engaged from the first page, when he glimpses in...

Fake It Til She Makes It

Image
Fake It Til She Makes It by Rene Penn I've had a great time while reading Rene Penn's romantic comedy ”Fake It Til She Makes It”. It is an easy read that you can take anywhere, anytime, for the sole purpose of being in a good mood and have a brighter day. It has been one of my holiday reads and I must admit that it made the beach more attractive and the sun less tiring. A short, but intriguing story, based on the power of true love, Rene’s book is a reminder of what truly matters in life. The author skillfully offers access to her characters' thoughts, without making things too predictable, while the suspense is maintained by the funny scenes and the internal monologue. She creates a beautiful, talented and apreciated protagonist, that easily gains the reader's sympathy. Don't miss the chance to read Nora's story, a hardworking woman who fights for her dreams and seeks accomplishment both in love and career. Andreea Pădurean

Sales A very well researched study, written by an active cryptocurrency investor, ”Bitcoin Money: The Top 20 Ways to Make Income with Cryptocurrencies” is the best way to become accustomed with the latest currency on the market. The uniqueness of this book resides in its accessible language, a fact that makes it suitable for both the average reader, as well as for the specialized one.
