So Absurd It Must Be True
So Absurd It Must Be True
by Victoria Ray
I have been tempted to compare Victoria
Ray to Chaucer because of the witty form that she gave to those briliant ideas,
but then Samuel Beckett would have been shadowed when the absurd in this book
is so similar to his.
So Absurd It Must Be True
is
not an ordinary reading, but the most interesting book that I have ever read
regarding the style, the vision and the writing. You are not able to get bored
within its pages and your mind keeps wondering how can someone envelope a habitual
fact in such an appealing shell.
Another
unique characteristic of this book is that it keeps changing from a chapter to
another, so that you can’t predict what is ’the next stop’ in this travel
throught the absurdity of human life and society.
Victoria
Ray’s book is also a funny and easy read because it offers a ’lesson’ after each
chapter, so that even the least engaged reader could get the essence of the
story. In my opinion, So Absurd It Must Be True is the best way
to get your mind around and see beyond the appearances, especially when they
are so beautifully wrapped.
