I've had a great time while reading Rene Penn's romantic comedy ”Fake It Til She Makes It”. It is an easy read that you can take anywhere, anytime, for the sole purpose of being in a good mood and have a brighter day. It has been one of my holiday reads and I must admit that it made the beach more attractive and the sun less tiring.
A short, but intriguing story, based on the power of true love, Rene’s book is a reminder of what truly matters in life. The author skillfully offers access to her characters' thoughts, without making things too predictable, while the suspense is maintained by the funny scenes and the internal monologue. She creates a beautiful, talented and apreciated protagonist, that easily gains the reader's sympathy.
Don't miss the chance to read Nora's story, a hardworking woman who fights for her dreams and seeks accomplishment both in love and career.

Under A Fallen Sun by John Coon            There is a reader for every book, but it seems that I am not the reader for Under A Fallen Sun . The reason why I say this is that from the very beginning, the idea of an energy barrier was much too similar with the one met in Under the Dome (TV series), for my taste. On the other hand, despite the fast pace that was meant to keep the reader engaged, there was not so much awaiting me beyond the well-constructed suspense. The long-promised escaping plans and revenge actions turned into the fast, unexpected and superficial deaths of so many characters.             There were also moments when the characters seemed to be similar to lifeless puppets that mechanically moved on a stage. Unfortunately, while reading John Coon ’s book I felt more like being part of a disengaged audience instead of resonating with the characters or with their feelings. ...

      Un bărbat, o fată, o insulă pustie v olumul I         - un roman de dragoste  -     de Uirebit             Un bărbat, o fată, o insulă pustie este, cu siguranță, un alt fel de ,,roman de dragosteˮ. Comparată cu ceea ce ni se vinde astăzi prin toate mijloacele posibile, această carte ne oferă un protagonist care nu are nimic în comun cu idealul de frumusețe masculină, atât de des întâlnit în cinematografia și literatura contemporană. Dimpotrivă, după câteva sute de pagini nici măcar nu reușim să îl cunoaștem cu adevărat pe Tiberiu, care apare fie învăluit în alcool și tutun, fie imatur. Momentul în care cititorul crede că are – în sfârșit! – acces la ceea ce este/gândește cu adevărat personajul principal, coincide cu momentul în care acesta începe să îi povestească întreaga sa viață Evei, fata alături de care rămâne izolat pe o insulă pustie.
