Vodka At Midnight

Vodka At Midnight
by Nicholas Bizov

Vodka At Midnight is a mixture of feelings and emotions that each of us has lived at least once in a lifetime. The memories of tender touches, sunny days, and nights of passion seem to be tormenting, especially when in spite of the sadness and loss, the world follows its course and life goes on.
Night, the mysterious queen of all possibilities has two faces: it can be both blissful and sorrowful, the only difference residing in the presence or the absence of the feminine figure. Being alone is similar to being in agony in Nicholas Bizov’s poem, while living in the past through memories and alcohol can be comforting.
Deep regret squeezes through all the pores and the heart is broken, so only vodka and the night can bring back small pieces of what has been once a happy life.
